At Dog's Choice located outside Kansas City, Missouri, we believe the quality of dog food should be no less than what you and I put on our dinner tables.  In fact, that's how dogs were fed before the development of kibble; they were fed leftovers from our meals.

Dog's Choice manufacture's fresh human-grade, natural dogfood made with USDA certified human-grade meats, fruits, vegetables and grains.  The vitamins and minerals in our recipes are also human grade.  We optimize our recipes with whole foods so minimal supplementation is necessary.

More than 98% of dietary supplements are made from synthetic nutrients. Synthetic nutrients are less effective, proven to have side effects and can lead to cancer.  This is why we pack our meals with as many super foods as possible.

The benefits of feeding gently cooked human-grade dog food mirrors the benefits of eating gently cooked food as a human being.  Our digestion is very similar.  Minimally processed food results in more enzyme activity and nutrient absorption in the stomach and throughout the digestive system.  Digestion begins in the stomach when fresh foods full of enzymes and natural pre and probiotics are present in the food.  The ability to naturally breakdown live food is critical for fighting sickness and disease and we, both ourselves and our canine friends, are able to recognize those benefits externally and internally; healthy skin and hair, nails, eyes, great energy and mood, healthy organs, greater bone density, weight control, and most of all, happier lives because we feel good.

More and more paw-parents are learning kibble is missing key components that aid in the digestion process of all living beings and without these components, our dog population is becoming less healthy with each generation.  The mortality rates in dogs, using Golden Retrievers as an example, are nothing short of alarming.  20 years ago, Goldens average lifespan was 17 years, today it’s 10-12 years.  If you can’t feed an entire fresh food diet for your dog, consider a fresh food topper to add to your dog’s diet to improve their health and increase their lifespan.  Studies show that by replacing 20% of their kibble diet with fresh food can extend their life by 30%.
