Every Dogs Choice recipe is professionally formulated by a certified canine nutritionist with more than two decades of research and hands-on experience. Her advanced education encompasses canine and feline nutrition, diet formulation, anatomy, physiology, and the nutritional management of health concerns. Since 2021, she has been mentored by Susan Lauten, PhD, and has worked as her assistant in clinical diet formulation. Dr. Lauten holds a master’s degree in animal nutrition and a PhD in biomedical sciences and helped establish a clinical nutrition service at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Having developed hundreds of canine nutritional products and formulations, our nutritionist understands that wholesome ingredients must also work together in careful balance. That expertise is behind every Dogs Choice recipe—helping ensure that every ingredient earns its place.

Nature Created the Ingredients.
We Simply Gave Them a Purpose.
At Dogs Choice, we don’t begin by asking which ingredients will sound appealing on a label. We begin with what dogs need nutritionally—and then ask what purpose each ingredient will serve.
Whole foods provide much of the nutrition naturally. Carefully selected vitamins and minerals help complete the nutritional balance. Every ingredient is there for a reason. If it doesn’t contribute something meaningful to the recipe, it doesn’t earn a place.
Food Keeps Dogs Alive.
Nutrition Helps Them Thrive.
